The Legend of Sari Gelin: The Battle of Light and Darkness In
the ancient myths of Azerbaijan, in the third millennium of
creation, one day Ahriman imprisons the sun. Days become
shorter, and the world falls into the shadow of tyranny and
coldness. But "Mitra," the god of covenant and light, takes up
his shield and goes to battle against the darkness. He frees
the sun from Ahriman's chains, returning the world to the
blessing of light and the warmth of life...

upon the sun's release.
