The Legend of Sari Gelin: The Battle of Light and Darkness In the ancient myths of Azerbaijan, in the third millennium of creation, one day Ahriman imprisons the sun. Days become shorter, and the world falls into the shadow of tyranny and coldness. But "Mitra," the god of covenant and light, takes up his shield and goes to battle against the darkness. He frees the sun from Ahriman's chains, returning the world to the blessing of light and the warmth of life...
This garment tells the story of the victory of light:
- Orange color: Symbolizes the flames of the sun liberated from Ahriman's claws.
- Torn and fragmented upper body garment: Reminder of the sun's battle with the chains of darkness.
- Flowing fabrics: Like the flow of light enveloping the world upon the sun's release.
- White color: Refers to Mitra, symbolizing purity and the movement towards freedom. - Black color of the garment symbolizes Ahriman.
