Kamal al-Din Behzad, the greatest Iranian miniaturist, created
a world of colors and stories with his magical brush. In each
work, he not only depicted nature and humanity but also
immortalized the spirit of Iranian culture and art in every
line and dot. This exhibition is a tribute to this
unparalleled artist and an attempt to revive his art in a new
form: fabric and clothing.
From Miniature to Fabric: Design Process
- Inspiration
from Paintings: Designs of flowers and birds, paradisiacal
gardens, and the delicate faces from Behzad's works have been
transformed into fabric patterns.
- Natural Colors:
Using colors that Behzad employed in his works: turquoise,
lapis lazuli, saffron, and the greens of gardens.
-
Modern Techniques: Digital printing and hand-stitching to
preserve authenticity and add a contemporary feel.
Kamal al-Din Behzad's Mausoleum: The Exhibition Stage This
exhibition was held at Kamal al-Din Behzad's Mausoleum in
Tabriz, where the artist's spirit flows through every corner.
- Historical Atmosphere: The old walls and traditional
architecture complemented the modern clothes inspired by
Behzad.
The Exhibition's Message: Art Knows No Boundaries This project
has proven that authentic Iranian art can not only reside in
museums but can also flow through everyday life and even on
our bodies. Each garment tells a story of love for art and the
effort to keep cultural heritage alive.
