In this project, we explore one of the most fascinating
periods in Iranian history: the Safavid era. Using the stop
motion technique, we aimed to bring the fashion history of
this era to life in an engaging and educational way.
To create this piece, we drew inspiration from the exquisite
wall paintings of Chehel Sotoun Palace in Isfahan. These
paintings, which are among the masterpieces of Safavid art,
showcase intricate details of clothing, fabrics, and styles
from that time. In our project, we carefully animated these
details, allowing viewers to experience the beauty and
authenticity of Safavid fashion in a dynamic and captivating
manner.
This project was brought to life through the collaboration of
Mr. Omid Ayeenechi and Ms. Fatemeh Asadi. The ideation,
design, and execution of this stop motion animation are the
result of months of dedicated teamwork. Our goal was to
present the fashion history of the Safavid era not just as a
historical topic, but as a vibrant and inspiring work of art.
We hope this project will open a window to the past, offering
audiences a deeper appreciation for the beauty and intricacy
of Iranian culture and art.
